A FULLY-rigid, ONE-brake, all-terrain fixED GEAR DESIGNED FOR FLEXIBLE FUN.

THE FRAMESET

The bike built to survive societal collapse, this FGATB is our nod to those who choose rugged yet classy simplicity over modern marketing and planned obsolescence.

Having ridden a dedicated fixed-gear bikepacking rig for years, I knew that the first frameset built under Good Grief had to be special– and oh boy, is this bike special. Purpose-built for the way I like to ride– slowly and often puffing on a blunt– I wanted to encapsulate the joy of missing out (#JOMO!) in a bike design. Never at the front of the pack, happy to be on the way to somewhere, this FGATB is dialed to operate with as little thinking as possible; all you have to do is keep pedaling.

This bike acts as a commuter, bikepacking rig, grocery-getter, gravel bike, road bike, and rigid MTB. The frame is based around 135mm, with 10mm QR front and rear axle spacing…which means your front wheel can also be your rear wheel. This allows a rider to have multiple single-speed gear options by simply changing wheels. Or, run it like I do with a dynamo up front and a dingle-speed in the rear– either way, you’ll enjoy the extra axle width up front that lends itself to an ultra-steady platform. And, because it’s designed around a maximum tire width of 29x2.6, this rigid frame is a joy to ride all day on all terrain.
