#0004
A fixed-gear all-terrain bike custom-built for urban adventures in Berlin and bikepacking FARTHER AFIELD.
THE FRAMESET
Based on the Scorched Earth FGATB frame design, #0004 gives a gentle nod to classic randonneur style while being kitted out for any modern adventure that can be thrown at it. Built around a few key details like cantilever brakes, a minimal custom rack with integrated light mount, and bi-laminate fabrication, this bike is a marriage of form and function.
The 1” headtube, retro MTB fork crown, and gentle fork blade curvature ensure it doesn’t get lost in a sea of samey production steel. Owning a few other bikes for their daily use and abuse, rider Nora chose to go with a Scorched Earth build to get back to the simplicity of escaping into nature on a fixed gear platform that’s ideal for getting lost, slowing down, and enjoying time spent in solitude. Two anything mounts on the downtube create ample pack space while keeping the seat tube to top tube junction open for easy carrying when it’s time to sling it over their shoulder if the trail gets treacherous. We’re stoked to follow this bike’s (and its rider’s) adventures in Berlin and the beautiful countryside beyond.
